UL faces Northwestern State at Tigue Moore Field tonight with first pitch set for 6:00 PM.
For the eighth straight season the Ragin' Cajuns and Northwestern State Demons are set for a home-and-home mid-week series. After a three-year hiatus from 2000-02, the Ragin' Cajuns have won 12 of the 20 meetings held since the series resumed in 2003. Louisiana holds an 18-15 edge in the Robichaux Era (13-6 at "The Tigue"). The Cajuns have won the past four meetings held at "Tigue" Moore Field and are 24-17 vs. NSU at the facility. Tuesday's game will mark the 121st all-time between UL and NSU - the fourth-most games played against a Louisiana school.
The Cajuns are coming off a tough series loss to Florida Atlantic last weekend in Sun Belt play. Louisiana won Friday behind a complete-game effort from Zach Osborne and a 14-hit attack. FAU scored a pair of runs in the eighth inning to rally and win 4-3 on Saturday. Then in the rubber match on Sunday, the Cajuns left the bases loaded twice in the final four innings and lost by a 4-3 count again.
