  1. People Carter Domingue

Louisiana Men's Basketball sophomore Carter Domingue will travel to Jamaica this offseason to conduct mission work, connecting with the local population through the sport of basketball.

Domingue will be partnered with the Sports Reach Basketball which conducts yearly ventures to underserved communities across the world.

"I decided to go on this mission trip to Jamaica to share the love of the Lord," the sophomore said. "He has given me with others while getting out of my comfort zone to be pushed in new ways"

Good for him to give back to others that are less fortunate. Representing the University of Louisiana quite well.

For Carter that is a tremendous commitment and I applaud him for it.

But, even though he is an exception to the normal transfer that we are use to seeing. How many recruited players have graduated from UL or stayed the 4 years since Marlin has been here? Scholarship players, not walkons.

Congratulations, and thank you, to Carter Domingue for the choice he is making! He obviously has better priorities and a higher calling than many of us on this message board! We Catholics are very fortunate that we have so many dedicated young men in the area following a call to the Priesthood.

I would have loved to have seen Carter play out his career here first but good luck to the young man.
