So true. Zero helps from previous opponents in the RPI and zero help from any conference mates against the teams at the top.

    So frustrating

If we take care of business all season long then we don't need to worry about getting help from others.

Come back win two against TX State today and Sunday and we still have a shot at an at large. If not, we pretty much have to win the tournament. We all know how big this series is. Today is huge.

Depends who you are doing business with.

Re-listen to GoneGolfin on Ragin Review.

I still feel ok about this series I think we take the next two. Like most have said we did not play well at times. Just continue to grind we got this.

Credit to Deggs & the hitters for making an obvious adjustment in the 5th and 6th innings.

The first Tristan had a wipeout slider that was extremely effective against our aggressive style. Stivors is a veteran with big league 12-6 breaker.

Our team showed fight in a hostile environment against a very good team, and we got their best shot. Still can’t keep giving freebies on the mound.

    Today will be interesting.

We talked about it with Brian on the podcast the another night. Texas State is the last team you want to give freebies to or allow them to jump to an early lead. But in spite of being down 5-0, we still didn't quit and fought to the final out.

Today, let's stay away from the free walks and try to score on them early.

That’s probably the key to beating them. Once you’re down 3-4 runs, it takes away your ability to be aggressive and put pressure on their defense. And their defense is one of the two weaknesses they have.

The other being a lack of a 3rd starting pitcher.

Get out in front early and make them make plays. You win today and you have a big pitching advantage in game 3.

That said, it’s easier said than done. Their guy on the mound today is really good.

Oh, it’s the “we facing a couple of really good arms” thing.

Well he’s got the 2nd best ERA in the conference, behind the first reliever they used last night.

    He’s 6-1 with a 2.42 ERA and 1.06 WHIP.

Whether or not you think he’s a “really good arm” is up to you.
