The UL track and field team might be peaking at the right time of the season.

Coach Lon Badeaux's squad will host the Sun Belt Conference championships on Thursday through Saturday, and the Cajuns are hoping their solid performances in recent meets will serve them.

Women had several injuries just prior to the meet that cost them 30 points. As well as the clear favorite for the 100M hurdles. She hit the 5th hurdle and couldn’t recover. She was going to win easily.

They wouldn’t have won, but would have had a much better showing.

The men, well they just aren’t deep enough.
