St Charles 2 - St Thomas Aquinas 0
Only missed on 2 of my predictions
The reason is because of their schedule. Much like the RPI, there are flaws. When they play a 5A school, they get 12 extra points. They also played one of the toughest schedules in the state for their size school. Here's some of their opponents & their records:
Catholic-PC (26-4)
St Charles (24-9)
Mangham (22-8) [3 games]
St Frederick (21-8)
Choudrant (25-7)
Neville (26-7)
Ouachita Christian (22-10)
It goes back to what I said before the season looking at some teams schedules. Depending on the goal of your program, you either schedule to prepare for the playoffs or you schedule just to make the playoffs. Claiborne schedules to prepare for a playoff run.
They played only 3 district (and division) opponents, other 25, higher classifications.
