Thread: No Rocc in the lineup tonight. Who steps up?

  1. UL Baseball No Rocc in the lineup tonight. Who steps up?

It will be very interesting to see this lineup perform without Carson tonight. He has been as steady as any bat we’ve had in a long time throughout the course of an entire season.

    I’m guessing something like:

    1-Shock
    2-DEBO
    3-Kimp
    4-Julian
    5-Hood
    6-Trey LaFleur
    7-Veilion
    8-Bob
    9-JBo

Will be interesting to see how the lineup functions without our best player.

Is Rice throwing a LH? If not, I think you may just see Willis in for Roccaforte at 1B with everything else the same as last night. And is there a reason that Robertson in the lineup that you are predicting? Or just an oversight?

Even so, who knows what the batting order will look like. Brock and Hood should be in two of the prime spots though.

I was thinking Willis at 1B as well. As of last night Jose Cruz JR had not announced a starting pitcher for tonight. I think allot of who plays in place of Rocco will depend on who the starting pitcher is.

I had TR slotted for 2 / Then 5. And then I deleted without putting him back.

    1-Shock
    2-DEBO
    3-Kimp
    4-Julian
    5-Hood
    6-TR
    7-Trey LaFleur
    8-Veilion
    9-Bob

I’m assuming Lafleur is your DH. That leaves 4 OFs and no 1B.

If Lafleur is healthy enough to play the field (at 1B) then I think you have the right personnel. If not, Willis for Veillon would be my guess

Who plays 1B in this lineup.

    Marasuk in OF
    Debo SS
    Kimp OF
    Julian C
    Hood OF
    TR 3B
    Trey LaFleur DH
    Veilion OF
    Bob 2B

That means Veilion/Hood/Marasuk/Kimple or LaFleur would have to play 1B and we know it won't be Marasuk, that leaves LaFleur who I don't believe has played a position as of yet this year, Kimple who either plays OF or DH, Hood and Veilion who are traditional OF.

I am just trying to figure this out.

Wow we said the same thing but you were much more concise than me.

You know what, I'm betting on Deggs to risk Trey at 1st with this lineup. And thinking more on it, I'm not sure he'll do that. Still too sensitive with his injury.

CJ Makes more sense in this scenario.

    1-Kimp
    2-Shock
    3-TR
    4-Julian
    5-Hood
    6-DEBO
    7-Trey LaFleur
    8-Bob
    9-CJ

I think in this scenario CJ bats 8 and Bobby bats 9th. I think I would also switch something up at the top of the lineup, you have Max at #2 and TR at #3 and both are in terrible slumps right now. I think I would move some thing around here just because you might have a big hole at the top of the lineup if these guys stay cold.

I considered that, but Deggs is the type to let the boys hit their way out of a slump. I think he'd want to see TR especially get some ABs in big moments with chances to drive in runs.

What about starting Austin Garret behind the plate and putting Brock at first? We have not seen that yet this year

That would give Brock a rest in this 8 games in 10 days stretch.
