No. The Cajuns' RPI went up after the win tonight .. as I said it would last night (and provided the precise numbers). What you saw was the South Alabama loss to Tulane being tabulated that knocked them down to .5562 and #55 (after the Cajun win over Rice was registered).

Only way we’re making an at large is we finish 7-1 or 8-0 and that’s with the loss coming to Texas state.
The Cajuns' RPI ranking will be good enough with a strong finish in the regular season and the conference tournament. 9-3 (no small feat) would give them an excellent chance (good enough RPI), provided the wins come against the right teams. This is because the most important thing for the Cajuns is to log at minimum three (hopefully more) Tier 1 wins and finish with an overall better conference record than Coastal Carolina (all conference games included). The Cajuns' RPI will be in consideration range with such a finish ... the most concerning thing is having only gone 4-7 vs. Tier 1 at this juncture.

The weekend series in San Marcos is the biggest series of the year. They need to find a way to win it.

Additionally, if the Cajuns were going to drop any of their remaining games, you would want them to drop the game vs. Rice tomorrow night. It would impact the Cajuns more negatively by losing to Texas State (Tier 1), Nicholls (RPI), or Little Rock (RPI) than losing to Rice.

    Geaux Cajuns!!
Strentz could swing the bat and Thurman was lb for lb the toughest. But no one has been the 5 tool guy and looked the part like Brock does. Even lucroy

Need some help for sure and thank you for that RPI clarification.

We can ease all worries by just not losing until we win the national championship. That’s an option.

    Brock isn't a 5 tool guy.

Drake Osborn was pretty solid both behind the dish and with the bat, probably not as good with the bat as Brock, but pretty solid.

I am assume by not a 5 tool player you mean the tool he lacks is speed, but Julien is pretty fast for a catcher, he can hit for average and has some good power, his throwing and fielding are as good as we have seen in a while.

I’m glad everyone else has jumped aboard the Julian Brock man crush train.

    I’ll be your conductor

It’s a shame that it took his average climbing for the masses to see it though. Dude has been nails since game 1.

After we sweep Texas State this weekend, can we get that train smashing gif running again? I liked them days.

Okay. He is a 4 tool guy. Just can’t run. But as a catcher who cares. Still the most talented all around catcher we have ever had
