Interesting, if not significant, piece of information: After the Troy-GaSt game yesterday, the four teams left in the tournament were Louisiana and 3 teams that Louisiana beat to send them to the losers bracket.

This is just wrong. There are 16 2’s and 16 3’s. If you go in as a 2, competition in the regional should be less than if you go in as a 3. While that difference diminishes as the weaker 2’s may be grouped with the stronger 3’s, theoretically that is not how it should end.

To think otherwise is just foolish. If you went in as a 2, theoretically only one team in the regional is better than you. If you went in as a three, theoretically two teams in the regionals are better then you. You play the games to determine if the theoretical rankings hold out. 1, 2, 3 or 4 - you play to win the game.

She was not honored on senior day, which makes me believe she will be returning next season. Troy will have a new coaching staff and maybe they can fix her.

……Just guessing as to teams using different pitchers……if so the quality and drop off in the ace to the next person up is huge in the games out come…an ace vs ace could be a totally different result than #2 vs #2!

As of yesterdays games, our RPI is still 27, TxSt has moved up to 49, UNT fell to 52, but a win over # 44 WKU today would maybe move them back into the top 50.
