Thread: Ragin Cajun Connection podcast with Dr. Maggard

Where are y’all getting these numbers? And why is it that much? What goes into that $250k figure?

Better yet, who is in charge of the entire streaming situation here at UL?

1.42 per ticket per game for season tickets would net $135K increase

at and estimated at 5k a game to stream would only be 130k for softball

    All numbers are just ballpark.

If you have sold 5000 season tickets for the two diamond sports...if you have 30 home games per sport (60 total) and you charge $1 per game per season ticket.

That's an extra 30 dollars per ticket X 5000 tickets. That's $150,000. If you make it a buck and a half, it increases to $225,000

$1.70 increase comes out to just over $250,000.

    BAM! Solved.

We can stream 175 games per year on Marlins salary alone ... so what do you rather

Dr Maggard is definitely setting us up to expect and accept a drop in football saying 8 wins in the coming year would be great with a new coach and QB coming in.

I agree 8-9 wins would be a good year with 35+ players and coaches leaving

Not researching this again, G-5 teams stringing 10+ win seasons together like UL is rarified air. No problem if the AD is being realistic. I’d say he has a 75% chance of being right.

If we win 8-9 games and be in the hunt for the Conference Championship, I'd take that almost every year! Expecting 10-11 wins "EVERY" year is unrealistic and just sets you up to be disappointed.

Every one keeps saying 8-9 and I agree with 9. If we have only 8 wins chances are we are not competing for a championship since we will probably have 3 conference loses. With SLU, Eastern Mi, and Rice as 3 of your 4 non conference any thing less than 8 would be a huge drop off. Should win all 3 of those.

Who will be favorite in the west this year? The west should have the same teams as in the past with addition of Troy and So Miss. We definitely have a more favorable side to compete in, we could conceivably lose 3 games to eastern teams and still play in the championship. Boy I bet that would p!$$ some folks off.

Just wait. The NCAA is considering abolishing the requirement for divisional play in order to have a conference championship FB game. Top two play the CCG.

I would think that would always remain up to the conference. There are some with out divisions that play a championship.
