Louisiana Men's Basketball has signed Themus Fulks, head coach Bob Marlin announced on Thursday. Fulks is 6-1 guard from Winston Salem, N.C.
Fulks spent the 2021-22 season at Dodge City Community College where he led the Conquistadores to the Eight Eight of the NJCAA National Tournament following a 31-4 regular season record.
The guard received NJCAA Second Team All-American honors after averaging 17.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals. Fulks is an extremely efficient scorer shooting 55.4 percent overall and 41.5 percent from beyond the arc.
"Themus is a point guard who sets up others and can score the ball as well," head coach Bob Marlin said. "He is quick and lives at the free-throw line. Themus has Division 1 experience at South Carolina State and was a Second-Team Junior College All America. We are excited he is joining our family."
The guard ranked 11th nationally amongst his JUCO counterparts in free throws made (145) and total assists (190).
Following the season, Fulks accumulated additional honors including KJCCC Newcomer of the Year, first-team All-KJCCC, Region VI Tournament MVP, and NJCAA Division I National Tournament All-Tournament team honors.

35 pts a game in high school..
Maybe Ragin Dave knows of him as player is from Dave's old stomping grounds...
If this is the type of player we are recruiting, we might win 10 games if we’re lucky next season. SC State is a losing program. Last four years they’ve won 8, 11, 1, & 15. To brag that he was a D1 player over there is a reach.
He was recruited because of his JC accomplishments. I don’t know what level of JC they play at but his team was very successful last season and he was a second team JUCO All American. Most encouraging stat I saw was how often he gets to line. Plenty of players make a big jump from their freshman to sophomore year. Maybe that is what this guy did. Wisconsin-Milwaukee was our main competition here. His JC coach just took an assistant job there. Cold weather turned him off up there. Hopefully he becomes the starter here And Mike Thomas is a strong backup.
Milwaukee used to have a good program. But they have been bad for several years now.
Some athletes are under recruited the first time around and/or they really flourish once they reach college.
That is why Milwaukee has a new coach and assistant staff
Went from UNDERESTIMATED to UNDENIABLE 26 wins & counting …. pic.twitter.com/B8Ey5Vj9ez
