Andy Gros was deadly when he was on. He’d make the best look like first year coaches pitch.

And, honestly, that was the case almost every season. We always had two and looked for the consistent third guy.

And, I think that's my point about Southern Miss. Their Sunday guy could pitch on Friday and they wouldn't miss a beat. I don't think we've had a three headed monster like they've got, just speaking objectively.

Now, as far as a total staff is concerned at UL, I'm taking 2000 and it's not even close.
Yes the 2000 staff was the best staff.

Is one of the 3 on that staff the kid that makes you Dad04?

Often over looked were Cody Robins and Trey Pollan in the 90s both had wins up in the teens in the same season. Don’t remember if they had a consistent Sunday guy. They also played when it was still 2 on Saturday one on Sunday.

Yes. Halfway through the 2006 season the starters had ERA's all under 1.2. I think they all finished around 2.00 with tons of innings, as the bullpen was a little thin. It was ridiculous. Danny was a freshman, Buddy a soph., and Jason was a junior, from Delgado, I think. Jason was drafted that year 11th round and made it to AAA. Danny had a nice MBL career, of course. Hunter was All American the next year and had the best college career of them all. Buddy was in a car wreck the next fall and was never the same pitcher. Tore something around the arm side scapula.

I’m glad someone mentioned these guys. Also, Jose Alvarez going back a little further.
