Come to think of it', I'm not sure we have either.
The best pitching staff we have ever had was with Harris, Marks, and Leger….our pitching was so damn scary, but our hitting was in the dumps.

Carson Baranick, Austin Robichaux and Cody Boutte would like to have a word with you.

As would Andy Gros, Justin Gabriel and Scott Dohmann.

1999 was pretty salty as well it included Phil Devey.

The 2000 staff would like to speak with you.

Hunter, Buddy, and Danny were pretty salty.

There was a stretch mid-way through the season that all three of those guys had a sub 1.0 ERA…if I remember correctly.

Jason Fernandez was in the middle of that staff in 2006 and really good.

The debate about the best UL rotations is cool.

In 2000, Dohmann and Gabriel were constants. But the third guy was fluid. Eric Templet, Nick Webb and Andy Gros all were used in that role.

And, honestly, that was the case almost every season. We always had two and looked for the consistent third guy.

And, I think that's my point about Southern Miss. Their Sunday guy could pitch on Friday and they wouldn't miss a beat. I don't think we've had a three headed monster like they've got, just speaking objectively.

Now, as far as a total staff is concerned at UL, I'm taking 2000 and it's not even close.

I've only been watching 18 years. If I am picking, Leger is the first one on my team. The injustice of him not having a pro career still bothers me.

Everyone at the top of their game and/or all things being equal…I too have got to go with Gunner.
