I am not 100% sure it is the ankle. IMO looks to be something else, hopefully nothing major.

Agreed, not the intent of the rule, but I am fine with umpires enforcing the rule as written (which is what they should do). Umpires determining 'intent or a rule' would lead to even more inconsistencies and awful umpiring.

Also, 100% ok with Justin doing what he did, regardless of it costing an out. He did what I would want any coach to do in that circumstance ... worry for the well-being of their athlete.

Safety base: Same base as currently used in the same location for the first baseman so they can still reach for the base with their feet etc. On the baserunner's side, it could be flat and right of the foul line to avoid injury. Is this what is being discussed? Sounds like a solution.

I don’t know that it’s her ankle. Didn’t mean to seem like I knew anything more than what I saw from the grandstands. I was just going off of what Beaucajun said in an earlier post. I just saw her putting no weight on the leg while being helped off the field.

So nobody knows about the injury or nobody is talking? I surely hope she is ok.

Looked to me that they were testing the stability of the knee.

Hopefully, Raina is ready to step in at CF, while Maddie recovers of her injury isn't serious.

Raina maybe ready to go soon, but how long will it take her to get up back to speed seeing live pitching? Unfortunately, the most important part of the season is coming up. And, I just don't think Raina has enough time to get to where she needs to be. I love Raina, but, I think Sam Graeter is the better option. Given the opportunity, I think she's going to surprise a lot of people.

While Hayden is out and Raina is still not available Falterman will be in CF, flanked by Graeter in LF and Eschete in RF. I agree with Roarman, Sam has worked while she has waited. She is ready to step up.
