I have been told by RPI experts Warren Nolen formula is not correct. Not sure if that is still true.

I have been told by RPI experts Warren Nolen formula is not correct. Not sure if that is still true.

Back before the RPI formula became simplified, Warren Nolan had the bonuses and penalties wrong ... and did not account for tie games. This resulted in his RPI rankings being somewhat different than the official version. Now that he accounts for ties and the formula has changed, the only time his rankings seem to differ is when he gets a game result wrong on ingest (does not happen often).
