At around 6 p.m. on Monday, two vehicles got into a accident at the corner of La. 343 and La. 699, near Leroy.
A female (name not released) was driving the car and may have broad sided the truck driven by a male (name not released at press time). The female driver is said to have been pregnant. She was transported to a Lafayette Hospital by Air Med. The male driver was also taken to a hospital.
The Maurice Volunteer Fire Department, along with the State Police and Sherrif's Office, responded to the accident.
