I emailed Doug Gillin letting him know my thoughts on App State streaming no games this weekend. And kindly asked he rethink that and get his camera crews out to the ball park. If you want to do the same. Here you go. :gillindp@appstate.edu

He just responded to me and basically said the conference has a minimum required to stream and App St meets that minimum. So he is admitting to being satisfied as an AD of doing the bare minimum in getting his baseball team exposer. That is why their athletic department is a one trick pony.
WE NEED TO FLOOD HIS EMAIL.
It isn’t about being satisfied with the bare minimum. It is about not being able to pay for more than the bare minimum.
ESPN basically pays for our streaming costs. Our contract basically says “show X number of games, and we’ll pay you X dollars to cover those costs.”
So if you’re asking App State or UL to stream more than the minimum number of games, you’re asking them to do something they don’t have a budget for.
So unless you’re willing to coordinate with UL to bear the additional costs yourself, I wouldn’t expect them to go over the minimum.
Time to get over it.
The rest of the home games will be streamed. The past is the past. BTW, only Georgia Southern and Coastal streamed them all.
As far as App is concerned, baseball isn't a player there. They've never done radio and only do the minimum for TV. Their priorities are football, football, football and men's basketball (and women for title ix purposes.)
Not every fan base is like ours.
If you don't want to listen to the games, we'll see you next week at Russo Park.
