    Neither of those programs had a top 25 RPI. Illinois, though in the top 25 polls, had an RPI around 35. Indiana was in the mid 60's. For a bit of irony, Illinois got a small RPI boost for losing to us.

    I know CUSA is not the SEC, but it sucks that a worthy team would get bumped for a team that benefits from stinking at a good schedule.

    Liberty is another team that may be on alert if they lose the A Sun tournament. You could just see them getting bumped by like a Cal or something.
    Liberty is RPI 42 with a 2-7 record vs top 25 and 1-4 vs 26-50. So slightly worse RPI than us and slightly better record against top 50 [only because of more games, our % is better]. Wichita State is the one getting shafted the worst right now.

    Charlotte may be an interesting discussion in the committee room. They close out conference play at FIU and vs. FAU and can finish at 13-11 with sweeps. The ACC apparently likes them because they have played Virginia Tech (beat them), Duke, Clemson, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina State and Boston College, and have a 3 game series at #26 rpi Georgia Tech this weekend. The conference tournament is at North Texas, whom they lost the series at home. We'll see.

    For them to have a chance at an at large, I believe they will have to sweep the F_Us and win at least one from Ga Tech, then make a deep run in the CUSA tournament.

    This is why they may be an interesting discussion. They are 5-4 against the ACC teams with wins over #3 Virginia Tech, #46 North Carolina, #55 Virginia and #77 Boston College (2). They definitely have work to do, we'll just have to see if they can get the job done.

    Maybe unwritten, but certainly not written.

    CRITERIA
    ● Rating Percentage Index (25% the institution’s winning percentage; 50% opponents’ success; 25% opponents’ strength of schedule); also bonus points for wins against the top 50 teams and penalty points for losses against the teams 225 and below.
    ● Head-to-head competition.
    - Results of the RPI
    - record against ranked teams 1-25; 26-50; 51-100; 101-150;
    - average RPI win; and
    - average RPI loss.-
    -Results versus common opponents.
    - Significant wins and losses.
    - End-of-season results.

    In making bracket assignments, the closest geographical consideration will be used as well as the ability to separate conference opponents during regional competition.
