Oh yes it was. Boots full of whiskey. Broken vodka bottles on the sidewalk. Airbnb cleanups (lol) and an ass whooping to boot

A reach would have been been Seattle or Atlanta with a top 10 pick drafting a 3rd round QB.

Right, a reach is not using the information you have and understanding that there was going to be a run on the WR position earlier than your best pick. Smart move, 2 starters at the top of the draft.

Rather burn the assets getting a need instead of a Turner because of his RAS score

I’m surprised he hasn’t gotten an actual UDFA deal yet.

If he does go to Steelers camp, he would have Karmichael Dunbar’s father as the D line coach. Scheme wise that would be a good fit for Humphrey

Not much different than a UDFA everyone is camp bodies until the cut happens.

Levi to Seattle is the best opportunity he could have gotten. Here is the situation there. Right now they have Geno Smith (we all know what he is), Drew Lock (probably the best upside on the team) and Jacob Eason (not much chance of being anything more than a backup in the NFL at best). Seattle is making a behind the scene effort to possibly sign Baker Mayfield, if he is signed he will be the starter, if not Geno Smith probably has the edge going into camp with Drew Lock probably being the best bet to finish the season for Seattle at QB. None of these guys give me the impression that Seattle is happy with their QB situation and we have seen all three in the league already. IF and this is a huge if, QB1 (LL) has a really good camp and shows some ability to make plays he could possibly make the roster as a practice squad player.

Yes, and big defensive linemen that are average athletically, are a dime a dozen.

Seattle will probably wait on Mayfield because its likely he will be cut this summer and they won't have to eat his salary cap. Cleveland is in a no win position, they've made it impossible for him to return to the team and they have no leverage at this point. Why give them some kind of compensation for a guy that Cleveland will eventually have to cut, and you can get him much cheaper?

Good point. I guess it shows who the teams put priority on though.

    I’m hoping he shows out

I could see him filling the Cameron Heyward role for them. He has been good there for a long time

And how long did that run last & who was in the middle of the run thus causing the run to be considered a run? If you help create a run of three in a row by being number two of the three, that is hardly a run. To say your asset wouldn't have been there so you had to continue to trade pieces to get the one piece is not good business sense. To me it reflects paranoia mixed with a bit much of ego & maybe some cocaine, or too much Jack Daniels, which says everyone thinks like you think, or wants what you want, when in reality they don't. And that's why the Saints always over pay.

As I said before. If you are a chess player & trade your queen, a rook, two bishops & a knight for the other player's queen. You aren't going to win many chess matches.

I guess the 138th ranked player they got with the 49th pick was a steal & not a reach as well. They could have taken Butler with that pick & been better off at safety. At least they would have gotten a home grown product with that pick & a guy who actually fit the position of need & not reached a bit further. Instead, by reason of what they did, they basically gave Butler & a couple of other players to Washington as well as giving future players to Philly. The bottom line is the Saints did a p!$$ poor job of drafting. It's not the first time & it won't be the last. Thank goodness they at least got one of the top four tackles without blowing it.

By the way, does Micky Loomis know there are other college eligible schools to draft from besides Ohio State? In the mean time, instead of taking Kyle Hamilton who was the consensus alpha male big mac daddy behemoth at safety & supposedly one of the top three players in this draft regardless of position. They decided to pay 33 million for a washed up safety for three years. So much for saving money & grabbing the best player available crapola. In the words of Jim Mora. All that talk don't mean didley pooh.

In the mean time, I'd like to know what the Saints are going to use for a running back while Kamara's busting rocks in Nevada this fall. Because by falling in love with "that guy," the Saints failed to address another important offensive issue with any of the really talented running backs in this draft of which they could have just about had their pick of the litter.
