They priced a lot of us old timers(ticket holders) out the market. Our butts were in seats. What you have now is Lafayette's Elite with tickets ans tons of no shows. Still a fan but i'll watch any game from the comfort of my recliner I can. I waived the white flag
For those, “get your butt to the Tigue” folks…
1. Is there a decrease in attendance at Russo Park when the game is streamed?
2. I guess having your team and university able to be visible to the entire world an extra 10-15 times means absolutely nothing. Right?
I’ve said it before on this thread, folks who are going to attend games at Russo Park are going to attend games at Russo Park. Folks who are not…are not. And there is a litany of reasons why they won’t. Could be age, could be having kids involved in things that are more important, could be that they are season ticket holders that have something else going on at the time and just cant get there.
Not streaming EVERY single game is so small time. The reason was given about conflicts with softball. That’s been debunked. If the reason is financial, when it costs around $5K a game…that’s embarrassing as an athletic program and screams….small time.
No one can tell me we can’t sell $5,000 of advertising over a 3 hour production.
