Louisiana posted a 4-1 week on the road with a pair of games at in-state rival Louisiana Tech before facing Arkansas State in a three-game Sun Belt Conference series … the Ragin' Cajuns, who are 8-2 in their last 10 games and fielding at a .982 clip during the span, dropped their opening game against LA Tech, 7-3, after issuing a season-high 10 walks in the game … Louisiana trailed 2-0 before scoring a run in the sixth and two in the seventh to take its first lead of the game … Carson Roccaforte hit an RBI single in the sixth to drive in Max Marusak before Warnner Rincones belted a two-run home run – his first in a Ragin' Cajuns uniform – to give Louisiana a 3-2 lead … the following night, Louisiana rode the relief pitching of sophomore right-hander Cooper Rawls to rally from a 6-1 deficit in the third inning and claim an 8-6 victory … making just his third appearance of the season, and first in over a month, Rawls was nothing short of magnificent as he fanned 12 batters in the final 7.2 innings which helped Louisiana earn a split … Louisiana would score all the runs it would need in the sixth inning, when it sent 11 men to the plate and scored seven runs – the most in an inning since scoring seven times against Rice in 2020 … in the series opener against Arkansas State, Brandon Talley and four relievers combined on a four-hit shutout and Louisiana posted its first road shutout in a Sun Belt Conference game in nearly three years in a 10-0 victory … Kyle DeBarge, Carson Roccaforte, Connor Kimple and Heath Hood each had a pair of hits as Louisiana recorded 12 hits overall and posted its first road shutout in a SBC contest since a 10-0 win at Coastal Carolina on May 3, 2019 … Talley earned his first career win in a starting role after holding Arkansas State to a pair of hits in five innings … in the second game, Tyler Robertson lined a one-out RBI single to right in the top of the ninth inning and Louisiana capitalized on five Red Wolves' errors to claim a 5-3 win … Kyle DeBarge drove in a pair of runs while Max Marusak and Heath Hood recorded two hits each as Louisiana won its third straight game and claimed its third straight SBC series … in the series' finale, senior Jonathan Brandon went 3-for-4 with a double and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the top of the 10th inning in a 7-4 victory … Julian Brock had a career-high four hits while Max Marusak and Tyler Robertson had two hit apiece to lead Louisiana to its fourth straight victory in wrapping up a five-game roadtrip … Brandon, who came into the game hitting .125, recorded his second career, three-hit game
