Thread: Lagniappe Day

    What a Downer Lagniappe Day

I just read that UL is celebrating Lagniappe Day at the Student Union. Too bad they didn't do that at Cajun Field surrounding the Spring Game today. Missed a great opportunity to get students interested in football and increasing attendance and excitement at the game.

The old saying, the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing.

I’m not sure if we are allowed to have a left and right hand these days . . .

Lagniappe Day sponsored by the UPC was on Friday when more students are on campus.

Met my 1st wife on Langiappe Day on a perfect spring WEDNESDAY. It was during my 2nd Freshman year.

Langinappe day started as a result of the basketball team being on suspension during the Shipley era. They wanted to give us something in the spring to compensate for no basketball.

If it would be on Saturday there would be no students there. The campus is pretty dead on weekends. Mostly on campus students walking to Dominos, Pappa John's, taco bell, burger king or McDonald's.

Went late afternoon to Cypress Lake. Multiple students taking graduation pictures; even had a wedding starting up near the union. Students were picking up litter. Quiet, but nice to see generation z enjoying life.

Is lagniappe day not all about getting to take a break from class and taking it easy for a day anymore?
