The absolute most ridiculous rule under Robichaux was throwing away a kid's livelihood because of DUI. These are 18-22 year old kids. They're gonna F up from time to time. Man, what are you talking about? I have to disagree with you on that one. Now sitting out a year is throwing away a kids livelihood? God forbid they not play ball for a year after signing a contract to the rules and standards that they agreed to live by. That’s what made Robe different. He was more focused on teaching these young kids how to become men, great fathers, and leaders. They could most certainly transfer out. It was not a stupid rule as all the players knew beforehand and knew the consequences.

And before you come back at me, yes, yes I have made my share of mistakes in life.

Don't kick the guy off the team but a weekend suspension is completely BS. The same punishment was given for someone who missed curfew.

I'm in no way perfect but I did have to face concences for my actions.

Yes he did, and that's why I'm withholding judgment on any moral equivalent comparisons. No one has presented any actual detailed information here outside of opinions. And no one understands the ramifications of drinking and driving more than an alcoholic. It was a poor life decision by the young man, and none of us know what he was required to do outside of a short suspension to remain on the team.

Well, clearly they were late paying the bill for their streaming services at the ExxonMobil station pumps. But they are also counting the gate they made last night because apparently Tech fans don't care about playing UL, or something like that I'm told.

First off, kid hasn’t been found guilty of anything, and there’s few facts out there.

With thag being said, if he did get a DUI, that isn’t just a ____ up. It’s affirmatively deciding to get behind the wheel after drinking knowing it’s wrong, and knowing there could be consequences to other people. The kid didn’t fail a history test.

Also, a kids livelihood? This is baseball.

Using poor judgment to get behind the wheel while intoxicated is a ____ up. It's a mistake. You've done it along with all of us here. Every time you ____ up in your life you know there are consequences for that action.

----In all probability he will be forced by a judge to have some type of educational experience to show the gravity of what could have happened----this along with some physical conditioning and other punishments can take the place of "Off the team" type practices-----might be a turning point in his life or might not even help!
