Any conference foes have anywhere near the 8th toughest schedule in the country? The said thing is this team is talented enough to have 5 or 6 more wins easily, if the game management wasn’t atrocious.

I think people forget that our former hall of fame coach didn't get to 1173 victories by managing every game perfectly. I'm almost certain he wasn't the same coach in his first 300 games in Div 1 Baseball as he was later in his career. They are completely different in how they managed games, but there was only one Tony Robichaux.

It there really that much talent though?

We are inconsistent, but that's college baseball. Good college baseball teams play consistently well. Average teams play well sometimes. Maybe playing small ball is all we have.

Why are we 4-5 in the conference instead of 8-1 if there is so much talent, game management? Why are our national offensive stats in the 20th percentile and last in conference, game management? I think we manage the talent we have. We have one or two starters with swing holes big enough to drive trucks through door handle to door handle. One guy can't hit a breaking ball to save his life. If you disagree, that's fine.

It’s hard to believe anyone in the country has given away more free bases than this pitching staff.

ETA: but that offense is spectacular ain't it??
