This team needs a throat choker real bad.

The problem is it only takes one not caring to tank a team. It becomes a virus. That's why taking care of that in the clubhouse is important. Good teams fix that ____ quick.
Remember all the hype about the offense going into this season? That was a joke.
Not very good, is being generous. We are at the bottom of the league offensively.
We run ourselves out of inning after inning. In many ways we do not "play the game the right way."
I just wish that when the good hitters they do have are up, that they wouldn’t continue to get the bat taken out of their hands with bunts and hit and runs EVERY time there’s a runner on base…and even more so when the bases are empty.
I get the “cause chaos” philosophy, but when your top of the order hitters are called on to bunt and/or hit and run in darn near half of their ABs…which normally gets them immediately behind in the count or gives away an out with one of your best guys at the dish…it’s just hard to agree with.
And I’d be perfectly fine NEVER seeing Carson Roccaforte squaring to bunt again.
The weird thing is that Marusak, Robertson, Debarge, and even Roccaforte and Kimple bunt a whole lot more than the guys at the bottom of the order. It’s baffling.
That said, sometimes that stuff works (see the first inning of todays game) but overkill is a real thing.
And there’s also the “hit a HR and drag bunt the following AB” thing. It’s almost clockwork.
They have done a nice job finding roles for the pitchers, in my opinion.
I thought hitting would improve and pitching would not. So far, the opposite has occurred. The team deserves credit for pitching stepping up. We don't get blown out on the mound. Pitching gives us a chance almost every game. which is all we can ask.
We die by a thousand cuts getting picked off, trying to make a generic single into a double, like tonight. We try to make something out of nothing offensively because the offense is so weak.
Totally agree. They gave away a full inning of outs on the bases today
Even though the first inning was fun to watch, and they scored 2 runs, the pitcher actually retired ONE hitter. The other outs were a sac bunt from the 3 hole hitter and a runner being put out on the bases.
I was at every game last weekend. The weather was perfect, like this weekend and I expected a packed house for South AL. Not even close. I walked around downstairs during the games. Even during the great Friday game, the mood was relatively subdued. Very odd. Tons of previously loyal Supreme Rice section folks don't even show up at all.
Those seats are all sold and are rarely 50% used.
I see few scouts at games, which is telling.
Fighting a cold this weekend, or I would be there.
These are the "wilderness" years all teams inevitably endure. We will be back.
Today was a very sparse crowd for a beautiful Saturday in April against a solid opponent. Tickets sold are down this year (low 4000s most games). I understand that’s still a great number, but it’s down. I could easily see it dropping more based off of people actually attending this year. This Top 30 attendance in the country for .500/no postseason baseball bubble is gonna burst at some point.
The Schultz kid breaks my heart every weekend.
