The issue is budgetary. If that isn't acceptable to you, contribute.
First of all Mr. Walker my post was not based off of anything that you said. I am going off of an interview that I heard Dr Maggard do right before or at the very beginning of the season.

So what I hear you saying is we cannot compete with Troy, Ark St, Tx St, UNO or SLU from a budgetary standpoint because they stream complete series and in the 2 SLC schools cases all home games.

By the way I am an RCAF member, football season ticket and tailgate spot holder and a baseball box seat holder that can’t make it Sunday and would like to be able to stream the game.

The MBB mandate makes sense to me, but WBB...not so much.
Women's basketball is the third biggest sport nationally. I get that we don't think that way, partially because of softball. They will NEVER get off that mandate.

Just because it might be more popular nationally doesn't mean Sunbelt basketball has national interest. I guarantee more people in Louisiana watch more diamond sports than wbb. Nobody but parents are watching ulm vs little rock wbb. It should be a local decision, imo.

A shame that our university does not demand excellence from the number 2 and 3 sports [nationally]. Instead, we proudly stream mediocrity, while lowering our exposure on baseball and softball, which are sports our fans want to see.

Are College Baseball & Softball Best Bet for Growth?

This chart confirms that WBB is/was indeed 3rd most viewed college sport (data is almost a decade old though). But the drop off of viewership after MBB is so drastic that I think the benefit of showcasing softball and baseball (which we are competitive at) balances out.

Also, that data is on "championship viewing." I think WBB benefits from existing alongside the MBB eyes on March Madness. I find it hard to believe more people are watching regular season WBB games instead of regular season baseball games.

……Who are the announcers and what do they get a game? Seems like we got guys on here that know so much that they would “pro Bono” it!

Total attendance for WBB was 6,700 at UL, baseball hit that in 1.5 games.

And 2,711 of the 6,700 was the LSU game, 669 "education game". 3,430 over the remaining 12 games.

yep take that out and baseball laps their season total during a mid week game

Should tell Broadhead to get back into EK. Long instead of the CD . Maggard could probably afford to stream every baseball game with that amount of money saved.

No doubt softball has more interest than WBB in our community. However I don't know if that is the case in the rest of the SBC. Someone would have to enlighten me on that. The WBB broadcast schedule being mandated by the league may be part of a Title IX issue..
