Awesome. Great to see us get down there in the trenches and beat out Alcorn St and Nichols St for this 0 star recruit, for those of you who get into stars. I am more concerned with other offers than stars. Is that who we compete with for talent?

For some of you that are into players that are about the cULture:

I'm no football guru, but his highlights look good. Maybe he comes in initially as a return specialist, puts some lbs on and turns into a Raymond Calais for us in 2+ years.

I'm all about kids that want to be here and have a high ceiling.

I hope you are right. One would think if his ceiling is high other recruiters with an eye for talent would notice and he'd have more offers. I hope he is a diamond in the rough and becomes a huge surprise. Time will tell.

Video don't lie...we got a steal...his size is questionable, but the results speak for themselves.

I am generally with Krazy on assessing recruits. Usually stars matter less than who else has offered. BUT there are players that get overlooked or who have not made our peer or larger programs' radar yet. If we get a few (like two per recruiting class) who only have offers to Nichols type school, I trust the coaching staff has seen something they really like.

For me the issue would be if we have more than a few recruits in a class who only have offers from FCS programs. That would be a red flag for me.

Foote had an article on him earlier this summer....You recruiting experts in the crowd need to pay attention...https://www.theadvocate.com/acadiana...4e60f6af0.html

Probably a question of eligibility that is keeping the big boys away. Napier took a chance on a few and it paid off.

"I know he committed, but it might be a fight to keep him."

LoL! Then he's not committed. I don't think committed means what he thinks it means.

I read that but it didn't say who he was quoting? Was that Marcus Randall his coach?

…..Bailey #2….all he needs is about 10 plus pounds and learning a back flop if he doesn’t have one yet!

Those that were recruited to leave here were not recruited there initially either because they missed or the player was developed here. With NIL and immediate transfer eligibility, those will be virtually the only way we get a couple years with stud players. Either there is a miss or development here. Once that happens or is discovered, the only way we keep them will be if they bleed vermillion and white so much it out paces the NIL $$$’s.

That is just the reality we are living in now.
