BB G3: Louisiana 6, South Alabama 3

It all comes down to late inning pitching and defense…. We have given a lot of games away because of this…. It can be fixed, but we need to start piece mealing the backend of our pin to win games. Our starting pitching gave us a chance in every game this weekend… our hitting still has work to do as this club should be a .300 hitting club. Another tough week ahead for our boys… it is time to rise and grind.

Also need to find a way to keep focus when playing on the road. Energy from home fans is great but key to a strong finish will be finding a way to find that enthusiasm when things go bad away from home.

Well, Bobby made me eat my words, and I’m glad for it. Hopefully this is the start of him getting back to late 2021 form. Feels like this series could be a launching pad for the rest of the season

I thought the Mendoza line was for players who were solid in the field. I know what Lada is capable of offensively, but my god he’s hitting .152 and he just made what should have been his 6th error of the year. Ruled a hit. At least if we have Rincones out there, his glove will be solid. Can we really not find someone who can hit over .200 and not kick balls every other game in the field?

I still question a lot of Deggs decisions but a large majority of his in game adjustments this weekend panned out.

Those years are kinda jumbled up for me and I could be absolutely misremembering but I think the consensus was that we were on a downward trajectory and change needed to happen. Most of the fingers were pointed at JT. Some were at Robe as well but it was more cause he wouldn’t do something about JT when it was obvious we wasted some of our best pitching staffs after our last regional. Maybe someone can verify or correct me if I’m wrong.
