Thread: Standards and Expectations

    Default Standards and Expectations

Why isn't the same set of standards and expectations set for every single Cajun sport? If Deggs or Glasco has Marlins same track record does anyone honestly think they would still be employed at UL?

Deggs, Glasco, and pretty much everyone else except soccer and football.

My best guess would be because apathy hasn’t set in yet for those programs. The official announcement of Marlin staying has only generated 4 pages on RP today. And a portion of those 4 pages is people with no interest in the basketball program supporting the decision because it doesn’t impact what they deem to be more important.

I know you’re a big believer in Glasco and the softball program. I’m sure it’s frustrating reading the constant complaints about this years team when basketball is held to no standard whatsoever, but trust me it’s better that way. Cajuns basketball is what drew me in the most as a kid. The way this program has just been tossed aside is sad to watch.

JMO basketball has not achieved the level of expectation that softball and baseball has in the last 10 years. Having said that I feel that Glasco and Deggs have under achieve as much as the basketball program. Softball has not improved in five years and declined this year and baseball well you see what's going on. I feel the three coach should be held to the same standards. They will all be here next year so I guess they are being held to the same standard. JMO

So after almost 13 years that is not long enough for Marlin to figure everything out?

So, I'm in agreement if Deggs and Glasco are given 12 years.
