Thread: Marlin Set To Return ( Retaining Players Paramount )

  1. Default Re: Marlin Set To Return ( Retaining Players Paramount )

1 NCAA appearance in 51 years should tell you the overwhelming majority of UL supporters don’t care about WBB. UCONN in the championship game last night did the one thing that hurts the credibility for the sport. A single digit quarter performance by a nationally known brand. Nobody wants to watch that kind of play.

They are also given every resource they need to be successful. Maggard is just not ready to do that for anybody.
300+ D1 basketball programs. Our operating budget is in the top 1/3rd and our coaches salary is in the top 1/3rd of all 350ish D1 programs.

I would say we are investing appropriately. Unfortunately we have not seen the results we expect with the current funding.

Georgia State just made what I think will be a good hire.

By commitment, I mean more than funding. We've shown that we're either satisfied with .500 ball for a while or we didn't see urgency in trying to enhance the program. Either way, I see a lack of commitment in that regard.

We are committed to funding basketball. Don’t buy into that crap.

We have a bad coach who has lost the fan base.

I just said that we are willing to fund. I'm saying we aren't committed to making the decisions to move this program further along.

Tell me more about these perineal winners. I’d like you to analize them, if you will
