NMSU MBB has made the NCAA's 8 of the past 11 seasons out of the WAC. If you go back five seasons looking at conference RPI rankings WAC higher ranked than SBC two of those years. This year SBC #16, WAC #17, about even over past five years. Its fair to ask ourselves, and answer the question is NMSU overperforming or is UL underperforming? P.S. The NMSU coach was hired by Miss St. today.
