We have not yet sustained a winning tradition over a long period of time. The last decade has been one of the best in school history but still too up and down. When we get 20 k season tickets that is when we have maxed out football fanbase .That is completely doable if we keep competed for championships every year.

3 years of great success wont make up for 50 years of losing.

No skin in this discussion. However my guess is that they keep Marlin for one more year.

Im perfectly fine with that. But lets stop paying 500k a yearfor mediocrity. We can do that easily for half that. Give that 250k a year to football and diamond sports.

That's pretty much the concensus from the money people in RCAF. I will wait to hear it officially from Dr.Maggard.

We could easily be the #1 team in the state the next 6-10 years... but guess 150k is too steep a price for that

I thought exactly the same. Can anyone address the question in regards to Marlin’s contractual buyout? It was my understanding that Marlin’s last extension was mainly to help him save face with recruits and that it was executed with a minimal or zero buyout clause.

CajunMike or CajunT, can either one of you expound on Marlin’s buyout?

We have just gotten started with the all out Louisiana brand. Couple that with our recent success over the last 10 years and you have a recipe for additional fans. If Dez can keep this train on the tracks and we experience more weeks in the Top 25, the sky is the limit! We are not even close to maxed out as a football fan base.

CajunT has researched this more than I. However, my understanding is that the report it goes to 0 after April 1 is incorrect. That may be the case for April 1 of 2023.
