Thread: Louisiana Athletics and adidas extend partnership

  1. Support Louisiana Athletics and adidas extend partnership

Louisiana Athletics and adidas have agreed on a two-year contract extension that will see the company continue to be the official athletic footwear, apparel and accessory brand of the Ragin' Cajuns.

The new deal will provide $1.1 million in additional value to the Department and will run through the 2023-24 athletic year.

"We are extremely excited to continue our partnership with adidas as the official apparel provider of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns," Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Bryan Maggard said. "adidas is an international brand that has and will continue to benefit Ragin' Cajuns Athletics."

adidas will supply Louisiana's student-athletes, coaching staff and support staff with apparel, uniforms, footwear and other equipment, while also providing support to the Ragin' Cajuns' equipment operations department in its regular inventory management.

…Ok how about for one year no Coach or administrator can use “excited” to refer to an athletic event, schedule, improvement, sponsor, etc!!! How about pumped, jazzed, etc

Hopefully the quality and selection, and availability will improve. They also need a lot more merchandise with "Louisiana" on it.

Am I reading this wrong? Coach Big Fish is worth more than our Adidas deal? That raw deal might need to be called sushi.

    Ragin' Cajuns Adidas NIL

I don't know if this has been posted already but this is good for UL. Hopefully it can help us retain some athletes higher caliber athletes.

Also hope the NCAA doesn't try to come in and put the kibosh on it.

BREAKING: Adidas is opening its NIL network to every college athlete at an Adidas-partnered NCAA DI university.

The wide-sweeping NIL network is the first among major sports brands.

More than 50,000 athletes across 23 sports and 109 schools can become paid Adidas ambassadors.

Think your reading it wrong. 1.1 million on top of the existing deal for the next two years. So 550k a year added. Basically what Marlin makes or more than LaTurds yearly media distribution is being added. Kinda Flagshippy without being Flagshippy. Lol

Adidas had no choice. Phil Knight was taking such good care of Oregon, others wanted the same deal. Nike' is the elephant in the room, Adidas had to offer something other than gear to compete.
