He never landed the #1 classes back to back. He landed the #1 and the #11 and that was before the NIL, so not really equally comparable.

Well the 2021 class coming in is ranked 1st and the 2022 class maybe even better and should be ranked 1st. I doubt bringing in transfers will hurt recruiting.

The second post you quoted said SHOULD be ranked#1 in my opinion. Now that the NIL takes effect I doubt we will still land those number classes.
