I was factually responding to a post questioning if this roster had a losing record. Not conference record, not OOC record, just record in general. That means the entire season. And accordong to the NCAA, UL did not have a losing record this season. If the poster would’ve specified his question to our conference record, then my response would be “that is correct. We had a losing record.”

    Again, it’s not my defense - it’s a fact!

My stance however is that .516 winning percentage is not good enough and we need new direction in basketball.
Just curious as to why you are so hellbent on noting that we didn't have a losing record thanks to the tournament run because we did have a losing record the entire regular season and in conference. Forest through the trees.

No, this is why it should have nothing to do with our decision to move on. We've had lots of turnover in this program over the years with Bob here and we already lost two guys this year and I can see a number of guys who would be interested in leaving regardless of whether Marlin stays or not. This weighed a lot into our decision for football and look what happened. We lost the majority of our staff and support personnel and we lost a number of players even though bringing in Des was supposed to give us program retention.

    As well as Greg Williams.

Sidenote: Wilson and Russell did nothing at their greener pastures.

ps, Their staying would have helped big time on limiting turnovers this year. (pun intended)

They aren’t sitting on their couch right now, they will get to the big dance. Maybe they wanted to be a small part of something big instead of a big part of something small

Doesn't make what they "wanted" worth a dime.

For CR and MW 4.4 and 3.0 points per game must feel like Riga mortise has set in.

The year before Marlin won the regular season championship, he came up short the season before. It’s not out of the question that it could happen again next year if Marlin, as expected, is retained.

Those two hadn't previously transferred. I also think the separate grad transfer rule was rolled into the one time transfer waiver.

    Our total season record sucked.
    Our conference record only sucked.
    Our OOC record sucked.
    Our season sucked.
I 100% agree with you and everyone else.

Why are you hellbent on diminishing the only "positive" statistic we have, which happens to be the exact measuring stick used by the NCAA.

When the NCAA brackets are being filled out next week for at-large teams, how are teams evaluated? Conference only? Conference tournament only? OOC games only? Or entire body of work?

Between the two guys they played in 53 games starting 5 (Cedric had 27 games played no starts, Mylik had 26 games played 5 starts).

Cedric averaged 4.4 ppg and 12.6 minutes per game, while Mylik averaged 3.0 ppg and 16.8 minutes per game.
