That is a very talented core.... Hopefully they all do come back and add some pieces. This team was missing Mylik Wilson and Cedrick Russell type guard play this season

Perimeter shooting is needed in the worst way

I was really impressed with the way Dalcourt and Williams played down the stretch.

Yep. And top 2 in talent in the belt.

Also, the relationship between the current roster and Marlin seems pretty intimate.

Marlin stays, the roster remains the same with some minor departures.

Marlin leaves, there very well could be a mass exodus and the end result is a massive rebuild.
Wow! how long odes it take to rebuild a basketball roster in the age of the transfer portal? it used to take like one year before the transfer portal was contrived. It seems like it could take at least an offseason now. Just saying. But if you're a BIG FAN of .500 SBC basketball, more of the same is a good thing.

Neither are PGs, but yes they responded well. I don't think anyone can say this team quit on Coach Marlin, or the type of man he is in running this program. But those are not the only requirements for the job and certainly not the expectations. He hasn't finished in the top 4 of the conference in recent years and he was an 8th seed with a losing conference record this year. He made a run in the conference tournament and made his only second championship game in 12 years. Those records are not debatable in my opinion. The question is does Dr. Maggard let him coach out his contract knowing their will be very little fan support for his MBB program, or excitement going forward outside of diehard Marlin supporters?

So in spite of the decades long mediocrity an amazing number here think were just a unlucky bounce from a great renaissance.

Not only that, but now we know it’s the fans fault for finally saying no more dollars and time.

As I said let Marlin earn an extension or a pink slip. That’s not on the fans regardless of Bobby and Jay duet.

I simply stated what I took from Jay's statements; maybe I'm wrong with my understanding, maybe I'm not.

I happen to think there is quality talent on this team, but yes, I was just as disappointed in this season as the next guy. But I also would hate to see a massive turnover.

Obviously, you're displeased with Marlin. And it appears you think the talent is sub-standard. And I guess you'd be cool with wiping the slate clean.

Me? I just hope we win more than we lose next year, regardless of who the coach and who the players are.
And if Marlin is to stay, who's to say there wouldn't be massive turnover anyhow? I can think of several guys that could be prime candidates to transfer out even if Marlin is retained. We've had massive turnover on this roster for a number of years. Again, we thought the Des hire who curb some of that and it didn't. There are times when its just time to move on and this is one of them.

So, its obvious you want Bob to stay. Can you state your reasons. I'd love to hear them.

Everyone can have their own opinions. Everyone cannot have their own facts.

How is clarifying a literal fact a sign I want Marlin to stay? I’ve said in NUMEROUS posts it’s time to change.

He won more games than he lost this year. No one said anything about quality of competition when asking about the record.
