We had at least one opportunity to bunt and get a run in yesterday. But we have to learn how to hit in the clutch. But when we cant use our legs to create action on the bases we are limited at the plate

I know it's easy to be down about baseball right now but I'll say this, USM is a damn good ball club. Better than I gave them credit for before the series.

I think we have a good baseball team. I think we will get much better offensively. TR is struggling big time, which won't last. We are desperately missing Marusak. Julian Brock will hit. Kimp is streaky. Lada will get out of his funk at some point; we know what he's capable of. And Rocc can't do it all by himself. I think the pressure started to get to him Sunday.

We have limited pitching, it's just a fact. It's obvious to me that they trust about 5 guys right now. We need 3 more that we can trust.

FTR, I absolutely hate the way Deggs manages a baseball team. Maybe it pays off one day and maybe I'm just a spoiled Robe sycophant... But watching this guy manage drives me nuts.

This is not a bad team,, but dam sure not the "regional" team Deggs was talking about before the season started. As we improve- so will everyone else.. we would lose 8 of 10 games with So Miss, they ARE a team that will probably be in a regional- just like last year. Point is- their players are better than our players- Deggs must get better pitching and better hitting to compete with a team like that. We might win 30 games-- 35-- 40? Doubt it-- but the scores was not indicative of the game- Sat and Sun were not close-- even if we had the timely hitting- you get the feeling that we had no chance of slowing down their offense. That being said- would like to see us put a damper on Tech- if we get to play. On a positive note- Chipper is improving- glad to see it. Durke- more of the same-- didn't appear to be over throwing like in the past but still showed little command. When he missed- it was by 2 feet or more..

I think the Cajuns are a regional team.
I think USM could be hosting a regional. They are that good.

Our club is going to improve and evolve a lot over the course of this season. Getting LaFleur and Marshall back in the pen will help A LOT. Max is one of our best players, and missing him is big. This early OOC schedule looks like its making us better, not worse, like years passed.
