Now I do agree with you that the talent Glasco is recruiting is as good as any SEC program, at least the last two classes were that good. The difference in my opinion is the pitching and Glasco is not a pitching coach. Hopefully Coach Robicheaux can help develop the younger arms in this class and the next years class.
I was thinking more in the lines of investing that turns into consistent success. I can imaging we’re being out spent by a lot, but we’ve been the picture of
consistency. SEC may spend the big bucks and get all their teams in the tourney but we’ve shown we can compete and beat those teams consistently. Not this year, of course, but Ole miss, TAMU, moo state, LSubr, Florida. Just off the top of my head, teams like Moo state and South Carolina have bigger budgets, but we’ve got a better program.

I’m rooting for J Robe. We all are. I think his story just fits too well to not have success.

Glasco can recruit kids to Louisiana.
Player development? How many players have improved substantially after arriving in the last 4-5 years?

Can we get a padded outfield wall? Anyone know what the cost would be to do that. The old non treated boards are an eye sore to me.
The outfield wall but especially the brick walls down each foul line. More than one outfielder has been injured running into that brick wall. I've never understood why they aren't padded, not for aesthetics but for safety.

Summer Eleyson, Kendall Talley, Julie Rawls, . All the rest of the kids haven't or weren't here that long. Glasco had to back fill with a ton of transfers. This is now his first real class so give it a few more years to judge. A lot of kids transfered out when transfers came in.

Baylor if remember correctly has masonry walls with fake brick padding.

Definitely not treating this as acceptable. Was more pointing out that it’s ridiculous to say we have to win the conference tournament to get in

Please explain why this would be his first “real” recruiting class.

Hired late 2017. Give him a mulligan in 2018 due to all of the transfers.

Why do 2019, 2020, and 2021 recruiting classes not count as his first real recruiting class?

I do not agree with COVID year not counting as all softball programs were recruiting under same conditions.

Cajun softball player development has decreased sharply since 2018.

All the top HS playes typically commit as freshmen in HS. His first three years he had a bunch of transfers to fill in for players who who were exhausting eligibility. This years class was the first time he was able to get higher ranked players.

2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 classes were able to commit in the 8th grade and girls typically don't back out of any verbal commitments. Gerry was basically getting kids that nobody else wanted and was not already committed. Now coaches can't talk to kids until there senior year of high school. These kids that are hear now was the first class he could talk to that and that resulted in a #1 national ranked class, next years class is ranked #11 and between us is probably better than the 2021 class.
