Thread: Mr. Bobby and Stevie P

UL Softball Mr. Bobby and Stevie P

Just want to give a quick shoot out to these guys on the great job that they have done this season on the softball broadcasts. Us Cajun fans are lucky to have these guys. I have know Mr. Bobby all my life and there isn't many folks that have the knowledge and experience that he has softball AND baseball wise. Some of you say he doesn't have a radio voice, well he don't need to as a color guy. Stevie P has also improved by focusing more on the game instead of talking about other things. While I don't know Stevie personally I can say Mr. Bobby is a die hard Cajuns fan as he attends almost every Cajun athletic event. Thanks guys for the great work.

No doubt they’re a pretty good team.

We are very fortunate to have Stevie and Bobby doing the broadcast of our softball games. They are very knowledgeable about the game and provide great insight about the game and the team to us - the fans. I always look forward to hearing “I don’t think there’s anybody back there” from Stevie!

I second that. Most schools don't even broadcast games and the ones that do are terrible. Bobby is a Abbeville local guy who coached with Picard and STM legend Danny Broussard back in the good old days. I appreciate Bobby, Stevie and Ian.

Stevie and Bobby are solid local guys who love this university and show it during the broadcasts. You won’t find a more loyal group of Cajun fans than these two.

Stevie P is the worst thing that ever happened to radio.

Love Stevie P. He's quirky at times, but he's won me over. Took a while, but if you listen enough, he grows on you.

I have listened to numerous softball broadcasts over the years with Stevie P. and Bobby. They do a very good job and I enjoy listening to their broadcast. They are truly Cajun fans and we are lucky to have them.

Yes, they are truly fans and it is entertaining to listen to, but they are not very good announcers in general. Their broadcasts remind me of listening to HS football games, so many irrelevant information and tangents they go down.

I enjoy the banter. They’re able to keep the game serviced and interesting stories.
