An extension for a championship is standard for all our coaches. Garry Brodhead got one for the regular season WBB title last year. It is something that is common at many schools, especially at the mid major level. Personally, I think there will be very few people that will be disappointed with a tournament championship. That is because most people would be happy for the team members. Yes, some if not most fans, believe the program would be better served long term with a change at the top. That is different than actually pulling against the guys who wear the Louisiana uniform. I just can't believe there are many of those people.

I would be happy as a lark with a conference tourney championship.

I would help Marlin raise the trophy, then fire him for milking the program for all its worth.

Sorry to hear that about his mom, but his time here is past done. Maggard screwed the pooch by not letting Marlin go earlier and give Morris a defacto shot at running the team.

Actually, that is not correct. They lost in their first game in his initial season after winning 10 in a row. Now that was in the quarterfinals. Maybe the tweet was reflective of the years they do NOT have a first round bye.
