This will be a regional team again. No doubt about that, but it's looking like that's about it. We will most likely be traveling. Again. It's only March 4th, but you've not looked good in the 3 games that really mattered thus far on the schedule in terms of perception and we all know that's what the committee really looks at. Still have another vs. the east, good series against South, TXTS, Troy 3 vs. Texas and a couple of single games in there that won't hurt us.
The bats vs. good pitching have been bad. I believe Glasco mentioned that it's puzzling because they've been facing our pitching, but our pitching is collectively the weakest it's been in recent memory. The team ERA isn't too far off of where it's been the past several years, but it's evident that you don't have an Ellyson, Stewart, Hamilton or a Wallace. That list can go on forever.
I thought to myself maybe the bats are quite because the batters are used to walking in practice? Just a joke, but free passes feel like they've been our Achilles heal. Even though we've walked more as a team then we've given up.
We do not look good at all. That should be a consensus agreement.
4 bad innings in 3 games.
Learning to deal with "in the moment" pressure is not insurmountable.
Holy ____! The sky is falling.
Softball is doing what football did at start of season. Lost to Texas. Season is over. No good can come from this. What could have been. I’ll wait till May to see how these young ladies mature.
I don’t know the irony font to use.
The committee will screw us again unless we handle LSU and the series with Texas. Literally the only game on the schedule that still matter.
Not on the committee, if UL keeps playing like sheet against the big guys on the schedule,
that will be enough to screw us...UL can beat the pants off all the Central Conneticut States it wants...but not even being competative against Top 25 teams is what will sink this years team.
Past performance is not indicative of future results.
