Coach Marlin in basketball also has had to deal with parent issues at times the last couple of years. No, I am not going to give details.

I’m not here to say that anything that has been said is untrue.

That said, anybody who thinks college baseball coaches are easy to play for don’t have much experience as a college baseball player.

Robe was obviously a fantastic man and a great coach. And even with his strict rules, probably “easier” to play for than a HUGE majority of college baseball coaches.

In my experience, which is pretty vast, both as a player and as a friend to MANY guys who played college baseball in a whole bunch of places, if you aren’t expecting to get dog cussed and mind-(effed) by your college coach, day in and day out…you are in for an enormous rude awakening.

Common practice when I played in high school.

"Son, if you ran a race against a pregnant woman, you would come in third! "

I have long suspected the top ten may not always be the actual ten best plays. Now we know, fake news has been much older than we realized!

Difference was he knew how those dads were, and yet he still recruited them to transfer here.

They couldn't pay me enough to deal with that brain damage.
So let me get this straight easier to find a Unicorn than it is to find Brenn Conrad? Not sure if you are actually comprehending what is being said.

Not sure why you are so against deggs making a kid an offer "he could not refuse" who had SEC offers out of high school.

This kids momma ain't calling any coach. He comes from a very hard nosed baseball family. Another quote by deggs to him, "I can't wait to get you into our locker room". He will bring toughness to the room.

Conrad actually started 163 games after coming back according to 2015-2017 stats. I can promise you Deggs was not the reason for this young man leaving. The death of a close friend and the need to get away after was the main reason as was publicized back then.

Right 63 was just in one year. The year that he started the most games. He worked at Bells sporting goods when he first got back. I had a conversation with him there, he told me Robe recommended he go to ju co where he could get more reps that spring than he could staying here. This is not uncommon when you look at the big pictures and the multitude of schools. I know the father of his friend very well and you are correct that was a tragedy and very hard time for all.
