I’m not here to say that anything that has been said is untrue.
That said, anybody who thinks college baseball coaches are easy to play for don’t have much experience as a college baseball player.
Robe was obviously a fantastic man and a great coach. And even with his strict rules, probably “easier” to play for than a HUGE majority of college baseball coaches.
In my experience, which is pretty vast, both as a player and as a friend to MANY guys who played college baseball in a whole bunch of places, if you aren’t expecting to get dog cussed and mind-(effed) by your college coach, day in and day out…you are in for an enormous rude awakening.
So let me get this straight easier to find a Unicorn than it is to find Brenn Conrad? Not sure if you are actually comprehending what is being said.
Not sure why you are so against deggs making a kid an offer "he could not refuse" who had SEC offers out of high school.
This kids momma ain't calling any coach. He comes from a very hard nosed baseball family. Another quote by deggs to him, "I can't wait to get you into our locker room". He will bring toughness to the room.
Right 63 was just in one year. The year that he started the most games. He worked at Bells sporting goods when he first got back. I had a conversation with him there, he told me Robe recommended he go to ju co where he could get more reps that spring than he could staying here. This is not uncommon when you look at the big pictures and the multitude of schools. I know the father of his friend very well and you are correct that was a tragedy and very hard time for all.
