It helps who the assistant coach is for us. Thats a big reason if not all the reason he reconsidered

He also led the team in Hr’s with 12 or so but only had 25 RBI’s. That may not make him our BEST hitter. He may have been our best home run hitter. When you think of a guy that has that much pop it would seem like he would have a ton of extra base hits and driving in runs also.

I'm not suggesting he couldn't help our program now, but let's not exaggerate his performance to make a point. My point is he didn't want to be here, so good luck to him. I chose program over individuals.

Correct, but before that assistant was an assistant here, Bab had told him to have an open mind that they were going to make him an offer he couldn't refuse. They made the offer a couple of weeks ago. So who the assistant is has nothing to do with the offer that was made. He may have accepted even if that assistant was not hired. At least from what I gathered in conversations he had with my son.

A lot of words being typed for a 3-4 team who’s 4 losses are to 14, 4, 2, and unranked, and two wins against 14. Those three ranked loses were close games too. No time to get the our pitchforks out.

I will get my pitchfork out on the game tonight not being televised. Northwestern game last night was televised but we can’t do it tonight. Small time. We have that whole production trailer and full ESPN production capabilities and we aren’t using them.

So who’s the kid who just committed from LSUE?

8 games into season, 5 vs top 15.... Some whine way too much on Deggs lineup changes. I'd much prefer to see Deggs build bench strength and have real competition for playing time in the dugout. Starting same 8 doesn't accomplish any teamwide development concerns. In hindsite... did the Indiana position starters truly matter????... we gave up 12 runs, game was out of hand fairly early.

Pitching rotations will evolve as success/failures accrue. Bull pen depth... loss to Ark of the 4 L's is the one that smarts. Very winnable game with a strong confident closer. We don't have that guy... yet. we need a couple guys to rise as finishers on hard fought games.

He hasn't announced it publicly yet. I don't want to be the one breaking the news. I'll let him when he is ready.

    4-4!

I do struggle with my thoughts/feelings on the team so far when considering the competition and uncertainty on the mound coming into the season. Still, no matter who you're facing, walks are not acceptable at this pace and that's been my biggest gripe so far. We havent held an opponent under 5 ER since Irvine and so much is free base runners.

Errors haven't been a huge worry for me bc almost half our season errors were in a game that the coach turned over almost all the roster.

The rest I'll wait to play out over the next couple of weeks.

Former recruit C/O 2019 we supposedly broomed, killing it at LSUE and now wants back in, is what I gather.

I wished LSUE played D1 JUCO. LSUE has D1 JC talent but very very very few D2 JCs have any talent depth remotely close to D1. Very few of their games are competitive.
