Louisiana has been playing USM for over 100 years.

No other schools in the conference can say that.

Southern Miss. makes the most sense. I know South is pushing hard for that to be a rival too but with Troy now in the West just keep it Alabama.

If not Southern Miss., I have no problem keeping the hate flowing with stAte.

I don’t think history will be the deciding factor. The larger a conference gets, the harder it is to match rivals.

I think helping outliers might be more important to conference leadership.
