True. And we have to remember how young this team is, they will improve over time. I disagreed with the early hook for Kandra. She had given up no hits and looked strong except for the bad throw to first.

The loss to Stanford wasn’t concerning. The loss to IU was. Baseball can salvage a game this weekend.

Softball was close to losing to southern Illinois. That can happen, but the fact that we got toasted by Bama and didn’t even make it close was just a huge let down. I get it, they’re good, but a pitching staff that didn’t give up a run in the first 5 games is looking awfully vulnerable. I still can’t figure why Lamb got pulled today. That’s your ace.

Not sure who thought or said this team was a wcws team? You do know that only 8 teams make it to the wcws, easier said than done. From my view Justin pulled Lamb way to early. Justin is learning he will have to ride with Landry and Lamb. Megan is struggling at this point and not looking like an SEC pitcher. A few kids are struggling at the plate and need to get it going. Oh well at least I got to hang with BeauCajun, JEAUX, and Cajunfan 3406.

Hats off to MM for the effort but she isn't the answer for a backup catcher. She is an infielder, not a catcher. MM struggles with framing pitching, gets signals mixed up, can't throw down to second, can't field bunts, and doesn't know where to stand on a pitch out. I would like to see if Hayden could be the backup catcher.
