No way to know if the Cajuns would have won that game without the Thomas and Julien injuries. It may be just a coincidence that the pressure started to impact the game when Thomas went out or it may be a key factor. Regardless, inconsistent point guard play has been a major issue all season. That needs to be addressed in the off season or next year will likely be just as much a yo yo as this one was.
No doubt the lack of depth played a major role. That game was lost many months or possibly years ago. There’s only one person responsible for depth.
If you’re at all familiar with business, sports, theater you understand that success or failure isn’t really about the grand opening, or the first game. Your success was determined many months and years back providing the foundation.
Marlin has built his foundation on sand. That’s why I get upset when anyone tries to list the current players as the problem. Marlin sold these players a bill of crap. Most aren’t division one players. They don’t understand that the backups aren’t that.
