If we don’t strike out twice with a runner on 3rd and one out then this is a 5-3 game and people are thinking differently about this game. Just gotta stop making those errors and capitalize
Rally time!
Dude threw 6 fastballs and still struck out robertson
Meh. That’s about what I’d expect in a game like this. Not blown out but never really threatening. Typical Cajuns sports in general.
I’m very calm. I simply asked you a question.
And from your remark, its obvious that you know very little about the game.
Warm weather or not, MANY very good offenses are going to struggle to score against that Stanford staff this year. The temperature is just another factor making things more difficult.
3 of the 4 guys they threw today also all pitched in their game last Friday against Cal State Fullerton. And Fullerton got shut out on 5 hits.
Stanford is a great team. No shame in losing to them. There were still a handful of opportunities squandered in this game that have been a problem for Cajuns baseball in recent years regardless of the competition. Blowing chances with men on third and less than two outs is pretty typical for us.
Edit: not that that’s a Deggs thing. We were doing it before he got here. Still has to get better
Agreed. Had we gotten both of those runners home, we still only score 3. And thats the point I was making to the other guy.
Expecting to come out and score 6-7 runs against that team is pretty delusional, especially with the conditions today. Scoring just one doesnt mean this is a bad offense.
Stanford will make a whole bunch of good offenses look pretty pedestrian this year.
So disparaging Deggs and his offense midway through this game today was uninformed to say the least
