Well we love making assumptions don’t we?

Both home runs for Stanford were on 3-1 counts.
Balk allows them to score on a sac fly.
2 opportunities at 3rd with 1 out and Ks.
Much needed base runner picked off.

No moral victories but there’s definitely a difference between getting taken to the woodshed and being a few plays away from going toe to toe with a top 5 team.

Oh…and the big bright spot. Last year through 5 games: 9 errors. This year: 2.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns offense was held quiet in a 5-1 loss to No. 4 Stanford in their first game at the Round Rock Classic on Friday afternoon.

    Homes SO Clean

It’s early in the season. The only thing that rings hollow is the fact both teams are playing in the same weather, should not be an excuse.

    Cajuns will be ok.

Topham and Cody said a possible oblique injury.

Let's zoom out a bit. Midway through the 5th game, 1st road game, against the No. 2 ranked team. 250 teams in the country would have been run ruled by then.

Expecting to come out and score 6-7 runs against that team is pretty delusional, especially with the conditions today. Scoring just one doesnt mean this is a bad offense.

Stanford will make a whole bunch of good offenses look pretty pedestrian this year.

So disparaging Deggs and his offense midway through this game today was uninformed to say the least
Baseball season is a marathon, not a sprint race. Geez, I heard that from a pretty well known baseball coach.
