As I read through the thread, I could only think that we have a lot of fair-weather fans or as some like to say casual fans. The big inning happened when our pitchers had pouring rain coming down. Not making excuses but that played a role. We made no errors and was out hit by two. Yes, we didn't get the timely hits but when given the fielding chances we played well. No, we didn't get the results we wanted but it's not the end of the world. We get Bama again on Sunday with no rain let's see how it goes. We may or may not win but I would bet you won't see all the walks and hit batters in one inning. P.S. Bama is no. 2 for a reason.
Cajuns are going to Take Down Bama Sunday.
Heck, bama run ruled most of their opposition this year, including an 11-0 run rule over a ranked Arizona team. As fans, should we be ok with being included in that number, no. But at the same time, have to respect the Tide. In ten games they've outscored the opposition 74-8, including the #8 (twice), #9, and #20 ranked teams. That's impressive.
Yeah, this.
I don't think (a) pitcher(s) have had a inning like that since Jordan did a few years ago (against Ole Miss or Auburn?) in the tournament.
Not a sophisticated as some of y'all, but I think our competition up until now has been decent (at least) and we've more than held our own.
I'm really more inclined to believe last night was a one-off. I wouldn't anticipate getting run ruled much, if at all again, this season.
Man, Bama just seemed to hit every gap.
What was the final out call on 2nd? Ump called her safe, then out?
