5 hits and left 7 on base. You’re 1 clutch hit short and a “wheels off” inning where your aces could not throw strikes from being right in the game.

Got some answers on where our young team is early in the season. Weather, layoff all could have contributed to the result, but on this night, the moment was too big for this team.
Still a ton of season left play, and so much room for improvement. Still very excited about this team.
They got humbled tonight. Watch for them to tear thru the field until the Sunday rematch.
You guys do realize that 6 of our 9 batters are freshman. We will get better.
I’ve been outclassed in plenty of business meetings. So it goes.
As I read through the thread, I could only think that we have a lot of fair-weather fans or as some like to say casual fans. The big inning happened when our pitchers had pouring rain coming down. Not making excuses but that played a role. We made no errors and was out hit by two. Yes, we didn't get the timely hits but when given the fielding chances we played well. No, we didn't get the results we wanted but it's not the end of the world. We get Bama again on Sunday with no rain let's see how it goes. We may or may not win but I would bet you won't see all the walks and hit batters in one inning. P.S. Bama is no. 2 for a reason.
