NO. Some little d2 school I never heard of rolled into ECU's yard and swept them this weekend. That school not only got in the polls, ECU just dropped to #25!!!

if you're going to suggest they weren't as good as advertised, you're doing a disservice to YOUR team who beat them 2/3.

They hit .300 as a team and everyone is back. They return their top two weekend guys and their two best relievers.

They have a guy who had 100 hits last year (he went 2-12 against us).

Im not discrediting or doing a disservice to our club. They are much improved and played very good baseball.

Pretty sure D2 have their own polls and wouldn’t be in the same polls as the Cajuns. But I would imagine if a d2 school beats ECU they’d move up in the d2 polls.

They are out of Rhode island and have been D1 since ‘08 when they transitioned from D2. They were NAIA before that until ‘80

Bryant University joined D1 in 2009 and hasn’t had a losing season since being at this level. They’ve also made 3 regional appearances since then.

Baseball America had ECU at #15 and UCI at #18. Bryant traveled and swept we took 2 of 3 at home. Regardless, it doesn’t matter and probably better off in the long run.
